What We Do

“I will be founding my own church, one that focuses on love and acceptance. A modern Christian collective for modern times, which approaches modern problems with modern solutions. A place of worship and safety and forgiveness and grace. A place without a hierarchy designed to separate you from Him. A place to touch and be touched by God.”

~ Marie St. Lawrence, 1978

The Collective of the Censer is a revolutionary communal spiritual organization based in beautiful southern New Hampshire. Founded by the Benevolent Mother Marie St. Lawrence after having become disenfranchised by Legacy Religious Systems (LRS), and has since existed as a sanctuary for all looking to ascend from human misery. Our Divine Purpose as Acolytes of the Censer is bridging the gulf between the earthly and divine plane through devout action.

The focus of our work here at The Collective of the Censer is that it’s not enough to simply pray, or go to church, or any of the performative facets of belief one can easily misconstrue as genuine devotion. It’s the doing that’s important. Giving not just your heart and body, but your mind and soul to The Lord, allowing your imperfect humanity to be consumed in His eternal fire; now that is true worship.

For over 40 years, The Collective of the Censer has helped countless people transcend the prison of the human condition through clean living, charitable endeavors, and the abandonment of self.
